NOTE: Please share your resume to Title: EMC Test Engineer Location: Foster City, CA - Hybrid Duration: Long-term contract Schedule: 4 days onsite and 1 day remote As our EMC engineer you will be responsible for developing, documenting and executing EMC testing on a Computer platform. You will collaborate with hardware engineers to refine the DUT test setup. You will work with technicians to assemble equipment, harnessing and the DUT as well as execute several EMI and EMC tests. We are looking for someone whos enthusiastic, innovative, a self-starter, and willing to take on the challenges to work with us as an exceptional EMC engineer. RESPONSIBILITIES Test Execution Operate a linux computer Setup peripheral equipment including power supplies, coolant pumps, network traffic generators and transceivers Test Infrastructure Development Document test setups (BoMs, Block Diagrams) Refine test setups for effectivity and efficiency Documentation Draft and present Test Plans, Design Reviews, Test Readiness Reviews and Data Reviews Review EMC data and reports QUALIFICATIONS B.S. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or similar discipline 5+ years in hardware development and/or testing 3+ years in EMC testing Experience with testing electronic, automotive, aerospace, or vehicle components Experience in using lab equipment (Environmental Chambers, Oscilloscopes, E-loads, VNA, TDR, and spectrum analyzer) Experience with Ubuntu and Python Bonus Qualifications M.S. or Ph.D. in Engineering or similar discipline Team/club competitions (e.g. SAE, FIRST, DARPA) Systems and networking foundational knowledge (systems architecture, memory hierarchy, storage subsystems, LANs, routing) Experience with: Ethernet switching chipsets (i.e. Broadcom, Marvell), PCIe, CAN Compliance Simulation Tools (Ansys preferred) Common bus protocols (SPI, I2C, MDIO) Process/Tool Familiarity with: Data Acquisition systems (UEI and/or Keysight preferred) Requirement-Test Case management tools (Polarion preferred) Atlassian software products (Jira/Confluence)
