Program Responsibilities
The main duties of the position offered to the Temporary Foreign Worker (TFW) entail responsibilities focused on promoting the holistic development of children and ensuring a conducive learning environment. These duties include:

1. Implementing a Comprehensive Program:
- Ensuring the planning and execution of age-appropriate activities that foster physical, social, emotional, and intellectual development of children.
- Following assigned age group plans and executing tasks delegated by the Director.

2. Facilitating Learning and Evaluation:
- Modeling routines and transitions for students and staff.
- Communicating effectively via the communication log in binders.
- Participating in staff evaluations and monthly meetings to update on age groups.
- Having a sound understanding of educational documents like "How Does Learning Happen" and the ELECT document.

3. Monitoring and Documenting Child Progress:
- Tracking individual child progress through anecdotal notes and posting these observations monthly.

4. Promoting Team Collaboration:
- Collaborating with the center supervisor to share expertise, contribute to program development meetings, and ensure program compatibility.

5. Engaging with Parents:
- Ensuring regular communication with parents regarding their child's daily progress in a positive manner.

6. Ensuring a Safe Environment:
- Collaborating with staff to prepare and maintain a safe and clean playroom and playground, following sanitation procedures.

7. Establishing Public Relations:
- Acting as a resource person for college personnel and the community, contributing positively to public relations.

These duties encompass overseeing educational programs, monitoring child development, fostering teamwork, maintaining communication with parents, ensuring safety and cleanliness, and contributing to positive public relations within the community.

Professional Qualifications

Minimum 1 or more years’ experience in childcare center
Experience in integrated settings
Current First Aid and C.P.R. Certificates
Police Record Check (current within 3 months)
TB Current
Well versed in How Does Learning Happen Elect Document

Personal Qualifications

A positive and sensitive attitude towards children, their parents and other staff members.
Strong communication and leadership skills
Excellent organizational abilities
Ability to supervise other staff, including students on placement
All health requirements to be met in accordance with the Ministry of Education Nurseries Act
Dress appropriate to convey the organizations professional image
Dedicated to professional development
