Responsible for development, execution, and approvals of system level automated tests for design verification of products prior to commercial release. Work closely with other SDETs, Systems Engineers, Manual Test Engineers, and Software Engineers in ensuring effective processes, cross functional collaboration, and high quality of Insulets products. Review, update, and leverage and extend existing tools and test automation frameworks to develop new automated tests for Android, iOS and Web Services applications in order to validate system requirements and to support other testing needs. Monitor existing automated tests to match requirements changes and new understanding of system performance. Oversee and guide automated tests, record results, and document issues using standard tools and processes during formal test cycles. Execute and report dry-runs of new and updated automated Test Cases. Oversee and guide perform manual scripted and exploratory testing to support new feature development and regression testing efforts to grow domain expertise and support manual System test needs. Lead collaborative work with Systems, development, and test engineers to develop test automation procedures and protocols for design verification. Perform systemic review of automated Test Cases to ensure that both typical use and edge cases are properly covered (happy-path, alternate path, negative path, etc.) Develop protocols for verification and validation of test tools. Write reports and log issues for executed verification tests. Participate in the planning and execution of technical project work. Create and document novel and robust test methodologies and provide feedback and recommendations for product/design changes. Conduct and encourage frequent formal and informal communication with team members to ensure full engagement and efficient operation. Analyze design changes implemented after execution of verification and validation. Provide technical consulting and mentoring in areas of expertise to early-career members of the DV Test Team. Ensure compliance with Insulet quality policies, procedures, and practices. Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations, policies, and procures. Position is fixed based in Acton, MA office; However, telecommuting from a home office location is allowed up to two (2) days per week.
40 hours/week, 8:00am-5:00pm.
Five (5) years of test automation technical lead experience developing automated tests and frameworks for Mobile, Web, and API testing

Must have five (5) years of experience in each of the following (experience may be gained concurrently):
- Experience with software development and programming languages, including Java, C++, or Python

Must have Three (3) year of experience in each of the following (experience may be gained concurrently):
- Experience testing medical devices in a multidisciplinary project team environment
- Experience with FDA processes for building medical devices
- Experience with HTTP protocols, including REST or SOAP
- Experience with API testing
- Experience with CI/CD tools, including Jenkins or Bamboo
- Experience building test automation frameworks
- Experience with test methodologies and automation strategies
- Experience with Requirements Traceability Matrix
- Experience with SCM tools, including Git or Bitbucket
- Experience with Android or iOS technology stack
- Experience with Selenium and Appium frameworks.
Requires a Bachelors degree in Electronic Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a directly related field
