Job Description:
The Clinical Dietitian will perform nutritional assessments and plan therapeutic diets in accordance with physicians diagnoses and requirements of regulatory agencies.
Essential Functions:
Consult with physician and other health care personnel to determine nutritional needs and diet restrictions of residents
Formulate menus for therapeutic diets based on medical and physical condition of residents and integrates residents menus with basic institutional menus
Recognize and adopt activities appropriate to the specific needs of the resident population and demonstrate knowledge of specific issues directly related to age of resident population
Inspect meals served for conformance to prescribed diets and for standards of palatability and appearance
Instruct residents and their families in nutritional principles, dietary plans, food selection and preparation
Engage in nutritional research and maintains registration status through the Commission of Dietetics
Maintain accurate records to meet regulatory agency guidelines and assists in statistical analysis of data
Collaborate with Registered Dietetic Technicians in conducting nutritional screening and in providing nutritional care
Collaborate with Clinical Nutrition Manager with preceptor responsibilities for Dietitian Interns professional learning experience
Adhere to established systems and training programs to provide a safe working environment
Function as a member of the interdisciplinary health care team to implement nutrition care plans
Complies with all OSHA regulations and other local, state and federal government regulations
Perform all other related duties

Skills Required:
Bachelors degree in nutrition, food Service, community health, or related field required
At least 1 year of Registered Dietician experience with RD Licensure,
Bariatric experience preferred.
EMR: Epic

Active Certifactaions:
Full Vaccinated Covid Card,
R-DN License
BLS (AHA).
