Sandton office:


NATIONAL CORPORATE PLACEMENT LEADER

We will rely on you to:


Manage the National Corporate Placement team, reporting to the National Placement Leader.

Drive Corporate Placement Strategy to compliment the Corporate Segments Client Strategy i.e. client retention, strategic/ sustainable portfolio placement and growth.

Maintain close relationship with the Corporate Segment Leader and his Management teams, CEs, Bowring Marsh and Guy Carpenter

Provide input, guidance and solutions on problematic placements.

Take responsibility for the placement of all corporate accounts where income to Marsh is in excess of R100,000.00

Take personal responsibility for the placement of certain strategic Corporate accounts

Represent Marsh on Property & Casualty Practice Leaders Forum and provide regular feedback to the Technical Leader to facilitate communication to the greater business, where necessary

Build strong market relationships (including wholesale and reinsurance markets where relevant) to get most competitive terms for clients

Drive industry specific expertise through team structures aligning with Country Industry Strategy

Implement Strategic Placement disciplines on key accounts ensuring early engagement with Markets

Ensure renewal timelines are adopted in conjunction with Segment and Business Leaders

Member of the Corporate Segment MANCO

Maintain regular/ formal engagements with Corporate Segment Leader

Regular engagements with the National Head of Technical and the Portfolio Solutions Leader.

Improve the strategic alignment between the Corporate Leadership, the Placement Team, Portfolio Solutions and the Technical Resource, making use of products and facilities where possible to support growth strategy.

Strive to continuously improve the efficiency of Corporate CEs by using facilities, products and digital solutions where possible /relevant.


What you need to have:


Minimum 10 years insurance / broking experience

Proven track record in managing a team

Ability to work cross-teams

Ability to drive change in the business aligned to the Corporate Segment Leaders Strategy

Open mind to change, to take the business forward

Ability to execute strategy

Technical knowledge of policy wordings, local market, London Market

Problem solving, early identification of problems

FAIS compliant
