Job title:
Software Technologist I Test Automation


Responsibilities

Defining Test automation designs in compliance with regulations and Philips quality system.
Assimilate the workflows and requirements of the solution.
Design and develop test automation code and scripts.
Work with project team to understand product requirements, priorities to arrive at the test design and test cases.
Creating and designing test scenarios based on the customer needs and system design to ensure complete coverage.
Develops test harness including software tools, samples of data input & output and configurations to perform testing
Establishes automation best practices, framework model and execution metrics
Develops, implements, documents and monitors best practices for test automation developers.
Responsible for handling defect management activities.
Creating Test automation summary reports and trace matrix based on project needs and adhering to defined QMS.
Working with Quality and Regulatory teams to ensure that test automation activities are compliant with global standards.
Responsible for testing functional and non-functional requirments


QA Automation Proficiency:

Extensive experience in designing, implementing, and maintaining automated test frameworks for microservices architecture.
Expertise in creating automated test suites for ASP.NET and .NET Core applications.
Specific knowledge of
testing GraphQL APIs
and ensuring their functionality, performance, and reliability through automation.

Cloud Expertise:

Strong understanding and hands-on experience with cloud-based services, particularly within Azure (Azure DevOps, Azure Cloud Services, etc.).
Ability to conduct testing within cloud-based microservices environments.

Selenium, Gherkin, and SpecFlow:

Hands-on experience with Selenium for web automation testing.
Proficiency in Gherkin language for writing behavior-driven development (BDD) tests.
Utilization of SpecFlow to integrate Gherkin with .NET, creating executable specifications.

Azure DevOps for Test Plans:

Proficiency in using Azure DevOps for test planning, test case management, and test execution.
Ability to create, organize, and execute test plans within Azure DevOps.

Manual Testing Aptitude:

Comfortable and willing to perform manual testing when necessary, understanding its importance in certain scenarios and for exploratory testing.

Agile Methodologies:

Proven experience working in Agile environments, specifically Scrum, with a deep understanding of Agile testing principles and practices.
Knowledge of how QA integrates within Agile/Scrum development cycles.

Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe):

Familiarity with SAFe principles, especially beneficial in larger organizations where alignment across multiple teams is crucial.

Collaboration and Communication:

Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, product managers, and stakeholders.
Ability to convey testing strategies, results, and potential issues to non-technical team members.

Continuous Learning and Adaptability:

Eagerness to stay updated with evolving technologies, tools, and best practices in QA automation, cloud computing, and microservices architecture.
