Description The Vice President Patient Care Services & Chief Nursing Officer is responsible and accountable for planning, developing, organizing and controlling the management of quality patient care activities such that the mission, vision, values and goals and objectives of the hospital’s strategic plan are ensured. Qualifications - Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing (BScN) required
- Master’s degree in Nursing or Health Administration an asset
- Current registration in College of Nurses of Ontario
- Membership in RNAO
- Membership in CCHL or ACHE
- Knowledge of relevant healthcare legislation
- Demonstrated project management ability
- Knowledge of collective agreements and the collective bargaining process
- Highly developed interpersonal, negotiation and communication skills to effectively manage the performance of members of various professional and non-professional groups
- Demonstrated ability to assess client needs, to formulate goals and objectives, to develop policies, to analyze complex issues, to evaluate quality and to monitor others in leadership
- At least eight (8) years of progressively more responsible experience in a leadership role to include a minimum of five (5) years in a nursing management position and three (3) years in a clinical setting
