HCA Solutions is currently seeking qualified individuals to work as Medical Technologist for the VA Manchester Medical Center, 718 Smyth Road Manchester, NH.

This position is full time, contracted, W-2 position with long term placement; work hours are typically from 7:30am to 4pm Monday through Friday, with possibility of weekends, however, work on other shifts is possible.

Job Description, Medical Technologist:
The Medical Technologist shall be responsible for providing Medical Technologist or Histology Technicians services, including, but not limited to the support of:

Reporting Information for Resulting tests: Access to the VA VISTA shall be provided to the Medical Technologists, including the ability to printout a report of those services provided by the Technologist and Technician.
Patients name and identification number
Results of tests after verification of accuracy
Reporting and calling any abnormal results to the provider that ordered the test
It is the responsibility of the Medical Technologists to ensure that all results are accurate and meet regulatory requirements.
The Medical Technologist is also responsible for coordinating scheduled periodic preventative maintenance and repair calls for VA owned equipment and maintain records as such.
Medical Technologist requirements:

Current BLS Certification.
Certified by the American Society of Clinical Pathologist (ASCP) or American Medical Technologists (AMT)
One year experience as a Generalist (can perform testing in all areas of the Clinical Laboratory, to include Chemistry, Blood Bank, Hematology, Immunology, and Urinalysis)
Bachelors Degree from an accredited college or university in medical laboratory science, medical technology, clinical laboratory or related science
Microbiology experience is preferred
