Electrical Engineer

Integrate nanosensors into electric circuits on various products; develop/test low-power, low-noise analog/digital electric circuits which form the building block of Instrumems’ technology; research novel sensors integration; use Digital Signal Processing (DSP) for Radar Sensor data for Presence Detection; work with Embedded System Development/Wireless Capabilities (BLE/GSM LTE); use mixed Signal Printed Circuit Boards (PCB) Design (32 Bit CPU, High Speed DDR4 memory, LTE 4G, 24GHz Radar); develop firmware (Python, C++); create electric designs; build test systems to calibrate/test sensors; perform circuit design, debugging, integration, circuit layout, fabrication, data acquisition/analysis; design in-house electronic test equipment; develop schematic capture/PCB layout (KiCad design tools, circuit conception, component selection, symbol/footprint generation, rapid prototyping/circuit evaluation, PCB bring-up, troubleshooting, PCB assemblies); perform in-house assembly of PCBs with fine pitch devices; work on circuit design, debugging/integration; work on circuit layout and fabrication; perform Date acquisition/analysis; design in-house electronic test equipment; install/test nano-sensor systems; design/develop PCBs using Altium, Cadence OrCAD, other design software; ensure compliance with industry standards/specifications; conduct research/development activities to identify/integrate emerging technologies with company products; perform schematic capture; execute PCB layout strategies (component placement, routing, layer stack-up optimization); work with oscilloscopes, high speed digital test equipment, logic analyzers, function generators; use PSoC/STM Programming, Digital Signal Processing, Real-Time Image Processing, Wireless Systems; manage entire lifecycle of PCB projects (initial concept and design to volume manufacturing to production support); and design/implement mixed-signal circuits (analog/digital components) to meet project requirements. May travel to various unanticipated worksites throughout the U.S. This is a telecommuting position with remote benefit from anywhere in U.S. Travel is required.


Job Requirements:

Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or Electrical Engineering plus 2 years experience. Experience to include researching novel sensors integration; using DSP for Radar Sensor data for Presence Detection; working with Embedded System Development/Wireless Capabilities (BLE/GSM LTE); using mixed Signal PCB Design (32 Bit CPU, High Speed DDR4 memory, LTE 4G, 24GHz Radar); and developing firmware (Python, C++). May travel to various unanticipated worksites throughout the U.S. This is a telecommuting position with remote benefit from anywhere in U.S. Travel is required.
