Role Description:
The Fund Administration Senior Manager assumes a pivotal role in overseeing and providing leadership for the administration of U.S. regulated investment vehicles within the Global Fund Administration department. They play a crucial part in ensuring the efficient and effective management of our internal and external customer requirements, striving to deliver "Best in Class Service" to all stakeholders. The Senior Manager collaborates closely with independent auditors, Fund boards, product development, portfolio management legal, and other internal groups to support the evolution of AB mutual funds.

The position demands expertise in tax issues, SEC regulations, financial reporting, and proficient knowledge of mutual fund accounting. Additionally, it necessitates exceptional analytical, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills. The candidate should possess a diverse background in mutual fund industry experience and operations, along with proficiency in standard desktop applications such as Excel, Word, and Outlook.

Applications and Supported Functions:
The Senior Manager provides leadership and support to various operational teams, including managers, team leaders, and fund administration analysts. They oversee the firms domestic pooled vehicles and collaborate with internal and external business partners to meet global customer information needs.

Key Responsibilities:
Authorization, review, and critical decision-making for individual funds.
Establishment and maintenance of a robust control environment.
Daily oversight, including accurate NAV calculations.
Instruction of accounting staff on new and revised procedures.
Adherence to departmental accounting policies and procedures.
Regulatory and fund compliance, including advice on tax issues.
Accuracy of distribution and tax data at fund and shareholder levels.
Addressing audit firms' questions or concerns during fiscal audits.
Reviewing and timely dissemination of Shareholder Reports.
Vendor management, including due diligence meetings and service quality reviews.
Participation in product lifecycle events: new launches, liquidations, mergers.
Resolution of complex problems and liaison among internal customers and vendors.
Participation in salary administration and personnel management processes.
Ensuring fund compliance with IRS, SEC, and other regulatory bodies.
Income analysis for Dividend Committee Meetings.
Reviewing expense analysis and budgeting methodologies.
Recommending and implementing changes and enhancements to departmental processes.
Responding to client requests, both internal and external.
Facilitating staff technical and professional development.

Qualifications:
The ideal candidate should possess a minimum of 10-15+ years of experience in the mutual fund or finance industry, along with a four-year degree in a business field (preferably accounting or finance related).
Advanced degrees or certifications are preferred.
Proficiency in mutual fund accounting, SEC regulations, financial reporting, and spreadsheet utilization is essential.
Knowledge of various GAAP reporting standards is advantageous.
The required knowledge and skills are acquired through a combination of education and experience in the mutual fund industry.
