Job Title: Human Resources Manager Location: Newton, Iowa Salary: $90-115K Job Summary of the Human Resources Manager: The Human Resource Manager performs activities relative to staffing, turnover, quality, training and development, and safety, with the objective of meeting (KPIs). This Human Resource Manager position is directly responsible for the overall administration, coordination and evaluation of the human resource functions of the plant, and works closely with the Plant Manager.
Job Responsibilities of the Human Resources Manager: Develops and administers various human resource plans for all facility personnel. Plans, organizes and controls all activities of the Human Resource department. Provides leadership, direction, training and guidance to associates. Implements and annually updates compensation programs; rewrites job descriptions as necessary; conducts annual salary surveys and develops merit system. Develops, recommends and implements personnel policies and procedures. Performs or oversees benefits administration. Develops and maintains affirmative action program. Conducts or assists in recruitment efforts for exempt and non-exempt personnel. Establishes and maintains department records/reports. Maintains plant/facility organizational charts and employee directory. Promotes positive employee relations, and guides, coaches and trains plant leaders. Proactively delegates work, and manages the productivity, accuracy and efficiency of the Human Resource staff under the positions domain. Participates, as needed, in special department projects as determined by the Plant Manager, or other appropriate supervisory personnel.
Education & Experience of the Human Resources Manager: Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources or Business preferred 5+ years of progressively experience in Human Resources. Strong leadership or management background within Human Resources. Manufacturing environment experience is required. Demonstrated leadership, interpersonal, technical aptitude, and problem solving skills. Strong team skills, including the ability to coach and develop work teams and provide or arrange for appropriate training of plant/facility personnel. The ability to motivate/empower others, and resolve conflict. Proficient in Microsoft Office skills Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work in a fast paced work environment.
