**THIS ROLE IS LOCATED ALONG THE OREGON COAST **

We are hiring IMMEDIATELY for a BILINGUAL Peer Support Specialist/Recovery Mentor to join one of our community mental health providers!

Hourly: $18HR - $26HR.

Summary:
We are seeking a full-time Bilingual Peer Support Specialist/Recovery Mentor. The Peer Support Specialist draws on their own personal experiences to motivate and assist clients to act on their behalf and support their self-directed recovery.

Duties and Responsibilities:
As a certified peer support specialist, you will provide practical help, mentorship, advocacy, and one-on-one individualized coordinated support while supporting individuals/peers in building skills for problem-solving as the peers you are serving begin to work on the recovery that will meet their needs and challenges.
You will support recovering individuals/peers in learning to identify their personal interests, goals, strengths, and areas needing improvement regarding recovery.
Document the participant's/peer's progress in the agencys Electronic Medical Records within agency guidelines.

EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK/SCHEDULE:
This is a full-time position working 40 hours per week. This is an hourly position. Days and hours of work are variable, but generally are Monday through Friday 8am to 5pm. This job may require longer hours, but any hours worked over the allotted 40 must be pre-approved by your supervisor.

Required Education and Experience:
Self Identifies as a recipient of mental health services who embraces the philosophy of resilience and recovery
Minimum of 2 years personal recovery from SUD/OUD
Bilingual - Spanish
IF QUALIFICATIONS OF PERSONAL RECOVERY EXPERIENCE ARE MET THEN:
Minimum High School Diploma or GED
Ability to obtain (within 2 months of hire) Oregon Peer Recovery Mentor Certification
Experience with electronic medical systems.

Good written and oral communication skills
Ability to manage time effectively
Computer skills and Microsoft Office
Ability to work cooperatively in a multi-disciplinary team and maintain role clarity.
