Biomedical Technician - Clinical Engineer Performs routine and preventive maintenance or electronic medical equipment including repair/ preventative maintenance. Education: AS in Electrical Electronic Engineering or equivalent experience Certification as Clinical Engineer preferred Five (5) years on the job experience in electronics Duties: Perform preventative maintenance on a variety of equipment to establish procedures, inspections, calibrations, adjustments, lubrication and repairs or replacement components Perform and document equipment repairs and test new and repaired equipment before it is put into service Maintain documentation of equipment histories, service manuals, as built drawings of system layout current listings Assist with responding to all calls, complete work orders for routine and emergency repairs. Complete repairs and document services rendered Ensure that an inventory of biomedical equipment, replacement parts, and standby equipment necessary for patient care to be maintained Provide technical support of new and replacement biomedical equipment, and review work performed by outside service vendors to ensure specifications are met and results are properly documented.
