Role- HIL Validation Engineer Location- Novi, MI-onsite Duration- Long term Looking for applicants with dSPACE HIL configuration experience Role Description- Key Responsibilities Support developing plant models in Matlab/Simulink or any other simulation tool for the components that make up an electrification eAxle and auxiliary components such as ePump, park-lock, shifting, etc. and ultimately create a system. Support Hardware in loop integration and setup for eAxle/EDU/TCU and other products (link removed) Plan, track and monitor all the tasks related to plant modeling and test setup. Report out any issues to the systems VnV manager. Work with the systems V&V manager/lead to create test environments necessary for execution of the integration and qualification testing of the system V&V (both internal and external labs Setting up the HIL/SIL/MIL system. Support and align with cross-functional teams in development and system engineering, root cause analysis. Support process improvements of xEV LV BU for system V&V, Incorporating Functional Safety, Cybersecurity and ASPICE as required. Good knowledge to have: Analyze requirements, create test specifications, create test cases, and execute them via HIL/SIL/MIL as needed. Experience Needed Experience in system integration, bench setup and testing Experience setting up HIL test environments including defining the i/o matrix, designing harness etc., Planning and developing mechatronics system models including actuation, electrical and electronics, controls, software, testing and integration in the V model. Establishing requirements and demonstrating compliance utilizing V&V methodologies Ability to successfully lead V&V team with cross-functional team members across all locations. Developing models incorporating automotive industry standards and processes. Knowledge of electric machines, power electronics and understanding of EV powertrain control strategies. Knowledge of HIL testing methodologies, Python scripting and tools (i.e. AutomationDesk, ControlDesk Knowledge of model-based software (i.e. Matlab / Simulink / Simulink Test / Simscape Utilizing Agile project management. Experience in automotive applications and applicable interfaces such as CAN and FlexRay. LIN networks is a plus. Experience with Configuration Management tools (JIRA, Teams, SharePoint Experience with Requirements Management using tools (Polarion, DOORS) Strong written and verbal communication skills in English Excellent problem-solving skills and a high degree of intellectual horsepower
