POSITION: SOFTWARE DEVELOPER (#455875E)
LOCATION: BOSTON, MA

Will identify design and assist in migrating legacy processes and implement data migration from Oracle to Teradata. Using ETL/bulk copy tools - move data from Oracle into the target system in Teradata. Understanding the code in Oracle to provide solutions in Teradata. Extract data from various source systems like Teradata data warehouse, DB2, Oracle, XML, and flat files, transform based on business rules and load it in the target systems (Teradata, Azure). Ingesting data into the Data warehouse from the published layer for reporting. Perform data validation, reconciliation on the migrated data. Work on performance tuning of data migration ETL jobs. Provide solutions for the on-going data ingestion, migration of terabytes of data into the Data Warehouse. Building reusable framework components using bash shell to automate various processes. Work on GIT and Jenkins for the code migration from lower to higher environments in line with CI/CD model of software delivery. Support data pipelines implemented in Google cloud platform using Google cloud native services such as Google Data Proc, Cloud composer, Google cloud storage, Big Query, Airflow, DAG etc. on a day-to-day basis.Lead deployment of applications/infrastructure and postproduction support activities.

Position requires up to 100% domestic travel. This position is for full-time, salaried (W-2), permanent employment.

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology or a closely related field along with five (5) years of experience in the Software Industry.
