Our client in the Kitchener/Waterloo vicinity is currently looking for a Personal Lines Technical Service Representative/Underwriter.

Responsibilities:

• Process applications
• Run daily activities following procedures of the brokerage
• Adhere to all carrier’s binding authority
• Confirm estimates are accurate
• Applications are complete for upload to carrier portals
• Upon completion, issuing policies in carrier portals
• Process new business policies upon receipt from the company 
• Bill as per procedures from the brokerage
• Complete daily Electronic Data Interchange and work effectively resolving EDI issues as they could arise
• Assist in Broker Management System training of new staff
• Maintain current knowledge of carrier underwriting and current industry changes
• Complete policy changes in carrier portals associated with policies

You must possess:

• A RIBO license in good standing
• A minimum of 3 years experience as a RIBO licensed broker, or as an underwriter
• Thorough understanding of industry reports, for example: Autoplus, MVR’s, and HITS
• SIG XP experience is preferred; however, willing to train the right candidate
• The ability to correct all billing discrepancies
• Empathy towards others
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Good presentation skills
• Ability to work in a office environment
• Excellent interpersonal and collaborative skills
• Able to adapt to an ever changing environment
