Role: Senior Android Developer Job Type: Contract to hire- 6 months Location: Plano, TX- onsite Key Skills: Android, Kotlin, Java, Jetpack, UI/UX, RESTful APIs Job Description: As a Senior Android Engineer, you will be a key member of our mobile development team, responsible for architecting, developing, and maintaining our Android applications. You will collaborate closely with other developers, product managers, and designers to deliver exceptional user experiences that meet the needs of our growing user base. Responsibilities: Android App Development: Design, develop, and maintain high-performance Android applications using Kotlin, Java, and Jetpack Compose, adhering to best practices and architectural patterns. Architecture and Code Quality: Lead the development efforts by providing technical guidance and ensuring high-quality code through code reviews and adherence to coding standards. Performance Optimization: Identify and address performance bottlenecks, memory leaks, and other issues to ensure the applications are smooth and responsive. Unit and UI Testing: Demonstrate a strong focus on testing by writing comprehensive unit tests and conducting UI testing using frameworks like JUnit and Espresso to ensure the stability and reliability of our applications. Cross-Platform Collaboration: Collaborate with the iOS development team to ensure consistency across platforms and share knowledge on best practices. GraphQL Integration: Leverage your expertise in GraphQL to implement efficient and scalable APIs that communicate with backend services. Emerging Technologies: Stay up to date with the latest advancements in Android development, GraphQL, and other relevant technologies to continuously improve our applications. Problem Solving: Analyze and solve complex technical challenges related to mobile application development and provide creative solutions. Code Quality and Documentation: Write clean, modular, and testable code, and maintain clear and concise documentation to facilitate collaboration within the team. User Experience: Work closely with the design team to ensure a seamless and intuitive user experience, making data-driven decisions to enhance user satisfaction. Troubleshooting and Bug Fixing: Investigate and troubleshoot reported issues, providing timely bug fixes and updates to maintain app stability. Teamwork: Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to achieve project milestones and deliver high-quality applications on time. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
