Job Description:
The client has an exciting opportunity for a Cardiovascular/ Cardiothoracic Surgeon in Racine. This growing program is located in SE Wisconsin and draws referrals from both Wisconsin and Illinois locations. The program has doubled in size in the past 12 months with a potential to double again with the right program builder surgeon.
- Opportunity to participate in cancer program (thoracic training required)
- Opportunity to participate vascular program (vascular training required) including performing endovascular procedures
- Statewide quality (STS) program

- 2 dedicated CVOR's, renovated 2020.
- Minimally invasive equipment and trained teams, and cardiac anesthesia support.
- 3 cath, EP, Peripheral Labs, and 2 additional IR labs.
- Excellent hospital support with 24/7 coverage - highly skilled first assist endovein, experiened OR team, dedicated nurse resources, and APC support.
CV program; Interventional cardiology program with 24/7 STEMI capabilities, active EP, Heart Failure, and Vascular programs, local structural heart clinic and TAVR at tertiary site.
- Percutaneous LVAD Impella CP and 5.0.
- 64 slice GE Optima 660 scanner for CT angiography.
- Echo lab with TEE in lab and interoperably.
- Vein and vascular lab.
- Nuclear stress programs.
- Cardiac, pulm, and vascular rehab.
- GE cardiolgoy PACS system with structured reporting.
Call Census:
General Surgery assists with coverage of call and PTO.
Patient Population:
It is the only CV surgical program in the county and enjoys a strong, well-established referral base with a patient draw of 250,000 lives in WI and IL.
