Matern Professional Engineering is looking for a Plumbing Designer to be involved with design for commercial office buildings, government facilities, K-12 Schools and healthcare facilities.

The designer will perform plumbing design calculations, sketches, isometric risers for sanitary and domestic water systems, technical comparisons and other technical work as required; coordinate project assignments with other engineers and technicians; review drawings supplied by vendors, clients, and engineers and architects and recommends necessary changes; research code issues and work with City, State, and County officials, and research design options and document findings for engineers.

Must have strong working knowledge of AutoCAD and Revit. Must be knowledgeable of NFPA codes. Word, Outlook and Excel familiarity. 5+ years experience and strong communication skills preferred.

Candidate must be able to pass background checks, not limited to the Jessica Lunsford Act to be able to visit school sites and FBI for government buildings.
