Medical Assistant Fresno, CA We are looking for a dedicated and motivated Medical Assistant to join our medical team full time in Fresno, CA. Ideally, we are looking for an energetic, punctual, responsible, and hard-working person. We are a specialty office and are one of the only in the industry! We see many patients daily and are looking for a great addition to our already stellar team! We are looking for someone willing to work and get the job done! The Medical Assistant is responsible for ensuring all necessary documents are completed correctly, making sure that the patient schedule is running smoothly, assisting the NP/PA and chiropractor with patient care, as well as assisting the front desk with answering phones and making appointments for patients. Must be able to remain organized while managing multiple details, communicate effectively, relate to people from different socio-economic backgrounds, and multitask.
Essential Position Responsibilities: Greets patients and screening Make appointments for patients; confirms future patient appointments, assist in rescheduling patients as necessary Answer calls within prescribed time and always maintains professional, effective and polite communication. Appropriately route calls, takes complete messages. File and pull charts as necessary. Assisting patients with their exercises and treatments Coordinating the doctors', PA/NPs schedules and helping their work flow Enters data in the computer system to update patients information. Maintains confidentiality of patient information and medical records according to HIPPA guidelines. Interacts with patients, physicians, staff, vendors, and visitors in ways that demonstrate caring and reflect our mission and philosophy. Fosters an environment that promotes trust and cooperation among all staff Attend meetings as required Skills: Medical terminology Assist Medical Practitioner with patient care, injections and paperwork B-12 injections Draw Blood Knowledge of HIPAA privacy and confidentiality practices, Microsoft Office (word and excel), and Google Docs Punctuality and excellent attendance required. Professional demeanor and appearance is a must. Excellent customer service skills required. Prior work experience in Community Clinic or Doctors office preferred. Education and Experience: High School Diploma or equivalent Prior work experience in Community Clinic or Doctors office preferred. Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant Program; Medical Assistant certification preferred Schedule: Full time Mon Fri (office hours end at 1 on Fridays) Salary: $16-$18/hr Possible weekly BONUSES in addition to hourly base Benefits: Health Insurance Dental and Vision Insurance PTO Bonus potential We WILL train the right candidate for the position!
