Operations Engineer (New York, NY): Review and recommend improvements to global logistics company’s existing operational procedures in line with industrial engineering concepts and principles. Develop and implement strategies for optimization of material flow and streamlined and cost-effective forwarding operations. Identify and implement lean solutions for better utilization of resources including labor, technology, space, and equipment. Contribute to meeting annual and monthly operational budget goals and calculate budgetary strategic recommendations as per industrial engineering principles. Create and maintain work standards for physical logistics functions through the application of industrial engineering principles. Compare quantitative methods such as moving averages, exponential smoothing, growth analysis (Holt's method). Salary is $75,000 annually.

Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, or related field and 1 year of experience as Operations Engineer, Import & Export Coordinator, Logistics Analyst, or related position. Experience identifying logistics operations improvement opportunities. Experience utilizing tools, software, and methodologies for optimization and simulation purposes to enhance operations efficiency. Experience achieving defined customer service levels in terms of cost, quality, and delivery. Experience analyzing global shipping operations, regulations, and best practices.
