Work with MongoDB database administration team to collaborate with internal customers to deliver enterprise-level database backend for top-tier applications in development; Architect, deploy, maintain, and monitor the MongoDB environment, providing data assurance to its users as well as setting standards, guidelines and best practices for MongoDB technology; Manage and maintain MongoDB database servers in all environments; Monitor and tune database performance; Design and implement redundancy and fail-over strategies; Design and implement backup/recovery strategies per RTO / RPO requirements; Provide support for software upgrade and patching; Mentor team members to develop talent on the MongoDB database team; Administer on call support; and Set up security standards and guidelines. 100% remote work allowed.
Requires 5 years of experience as a Database Administrator, Infrastructure Architect, Engineer Analyst, or a related occupation. Requires experience with: Administering, Configuring, Managing and monitoring multiple NoSQL (MongoDB / Couchbase) clusters across different cloud environments using OpsManager and MongoDB Atlas; Configuring SSL encryption and security by implementing different types of authentication mechanisms; Migrating MongoDB clusters from On-prem to MongoDB Altas on AWS using Terraform automation; Writing Shell, Perl, and Python scripts to automate manual efforts and backup and recovery process; Testing, benchmarking and providing support for new database technologies; and Using: Ansible, Datadog, Graphana, Prometheus, Scrum, and Kanban.
Requires a Bachelors degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Electrical & Electronics Engineering, or related field
