3. POSITION PURPOSE
The Non Functional Testing Architect will ensure performance test architectural and execution ownership, management and drive across various partners for the said testing service offerings.
The Non Functional Testing Architect will be conversant with load / performance test strategies / methodologies, industry leading load / performance testing tools and techniques. Vital to the role is strong stakeholder management and communication skills. The Non Functional Testing Architect will be able to demonstrate extensive experience as an expert in Load and Performance Testing capability with the ability to manage multiple projects / programs technically.
The candidate will be experienced in managing and developing Load / Performance testing strategies and execution within a large / complex projects, technically inclined to understand the application architecture in depth.
4. ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Responsible for designing, enhancing and implementing effective load / performance test strategies based on system architecture, design & integration
- Deliver load / performance testing architect responsibilities over multiple testing projects and interface effectively with business and technical stakeholders for requirements and design understanding
- Coordinate with DevOps, developers, product manager and offer inputs on the testability of non-functional elements and product designs
- Work closely with development and architect teams to identify performance bottlenecks and areas of improvement, thereby enabling the delivery of high-quality, scalable and robust applications
- Strategize, plan and execute performance testing for container-based applications to identify performance bottlenecks and resource constraints
- Collaborate with development and architecture teams to review application architecture and identify areas where optimizations can be incorporated.
- Strategize and integrate load / performance automated tests into the CI/CD pipeline using Jenkins or Azure DevOps to achieve continuous testing and deployment
- Work with container orchestration tools (eg Kubernetes) to streamline application deployment, scaling and monitoring
- Hands-on experience with cloud technologies like Azure/AWS/GCP and ability to manage cloud infrastructure on requirement basis to cater scalability needs
- Implement, monitor and improve load / performance testing testing / engineering best practices and benchmarks
- Drive continuous improvements in product testing processes
- Stay up to date with industry best practices and emerging trends in load / performance testing
5. QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
- 14 years of experience in Load / Performance testing
- Proven experience as a performance test architect or in a similar role
- In-depth knowledge of industry leading load / performance testing tools such as LoadRunner, NeoLoad, Gatling, JMeter, or similar
- Strong understanding of load / performance testing methodologies and best practices
- Cloud concepts and experience in working with Azure/AWS/GCP is must
- Experience with performance monitoring and profiling tools
- Experience in debugging and root cause analysis to identify load / performance test engineering defects
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Self-motivated, ownership, passionate for performance testing
