As a Senior QA Automation Test Engineer at livSYT, you will be responsible for developing and executing automated test scripts using tools like Cypress and JavaScript. Your role will involve creating comprehensive test plans, identifying and tracking bugs, and ensuring the quality of our software products. Goals and Responsibilities:
Utilize 4+ years of experience in automated testing with expertise in Automation Testing, Cypress, and JavaScript.
Create detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and test cases.
Estimate, prioritize, plan, and coordinate testing activities.
Design, develop, and execute automation scripts using open-source tools.
Identify, record, document thoroughly, and track bugs.
Perform thorough regression testing when bugs are resolved.
Develop and apply testing processes for new and existing products to meet client needs.
Collaborate with internal teams, including developers and product managers, to identify system requirements.
Track quality assurance metrics, such as defect densities and open defect counts.
Stay up-to-date with new testing tools and test strategies.
Demonstrate quick learning abilities and deliver tasks consistently on a regular basis.
Requirements:
Proven work experience in software quality assurance, demonstrating expertise in ensuring the quality of software products.
Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes, including experience with industry-standard testing frameworks and tools.
Proficiency in writing clear, concise, and comprehensive test plans, and test cases to effectively validate software functionality.
Hands-on experience with automated testing tools, such as Selenium, Cypress, or similar, to efficiently execute and maintain automated test scripts.
Familiarity with SQL and scripting languages to perform database testing and automate test data setup.
Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development process, collaborating closely with development teams to ensure testing aligns with iterative development cycles.
Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to identify and track software defects efficiently.
Ability to work independently, taking ownership of testing activities and driving them to completion.
Experience with performance testing and/or security testing is a plus, demonstrating the ability to assess software performance and security aspects effectively.
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related subject, providing a solid foundation in software engineering principles and practices.
