Systems Reliability Engineer (Remote)

We have an immediate need for a contract Systems Reliability Engineer to join an environmental services industry leader. The Systems Reliability Engineer will have a strong background in DevOps or development, with a passion for ensuring system reliability through proactive monitoring and capacity planning. This role is critical in identifying system gaps, optimizing resource allocation, and enhancing our operational efficiency.

Location: Phoenix, AZ (Remote)

This job expects to pay around $60 - 70 per hour plus benefits.

What You Will Do: 

• Monitor and analyze CPU usage, system setups, and lambda timeouts to ensure optimal performance.
• Utilize Splunk and AppDynamics to build queries and dashboards for real-time system monitoring.
• Proactively look at logs, data, and graphs to identify system gaps and inefficiencies.
• Collaborate with tier3 support and development teams to resolve issues and follow up on solutions.
• Track incidents and trend lines, contributing to a robust incident management process.
• Experience with “Grafana” or similar AWS products is a bonus.
• Read and interpret Node error codes, and have a strong understanding of AWS and Terraform.

What Gets You The Job: 

• Proven experience in a DevOps or development role, preferably with a focus on system reliability.
• Strong background in using Splunk and AppDynamics for system monitoring and analytics.
• Ability to analyze complex data and logs to identify critical issues and trends.
• Familiarity with AWS services, Node.js, and Terraform is highly desirable.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to educate teams on resource allocation and system optimization.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively across functional teams.
