Job Description: Seeking a Data Modeler with at least 7 years of experience, demonstrating the ability to independently tackle complex tasks with a strong reliance on experience and judgment. Develop conceptual, logical, and physical data models tailored to support CLIENT's business intelligence endeavors. Ensure comprehensive consideration of all relevant aspects of the data model, including granularity and scalability. Lead and facilitate communication with business stakeholders, IT teams, and other relevant parties to integrate business requirements seamlessly into the data model design. Provide guidance and support for data warehousing initiatives, overseeing the reliability and accuracy of data loaded into databases. Translate technical data modeling concepts such as facts, dimensions, and "snowflaking" into understandable language for non-technical users, fostering ease of collaboration across teams. Offer recommendations on data maintenance strategies for slowly changing dimensions, data archiving, and roll-off planning. Collaborate with the Enterprise Architecture team to assess designs and secure necessary approvals. Coordinate with Database Administrators (DBAs) to ensure smooth instantiation of tables and other database objects. Design models optimized for storage efficiency in the data warehouse and streamlined query and retrieval processes for end-user marts. Conduct analysis and testing of relational databases, addressing any data load failures or retrieval issues promptly. Maintain a balance between business requirements and user expectations, ensuring alignment with organizational goals. Preferred experience in Human Services business intelligence.
