Lead Geophysicist for TerraSond Limited (Palmer, AK). Supervise 6 Geophysicists & 2 Data Processors. Coordinate geophysical data processing & interpretation using Single & Multichannel Seismic Processing & interpretation SW incl. RadexPro, IHS Kingdom, SonarWiz & GlobalMapper to define conditions of seabed & sub seafloor stratigraphy. Describe, define seabed & sub seabed conditions to assess geo-hazards relevant to existing & proposed subsea infrastructure & installations. Coordinate R&D internal projects to develop new seismic processing strategies & improve efficiency of seismic processing & in interpretation workflows. Mentor/train jr. personnel for Single & Multichannel Seismic Processing & Interpretation. Oversee/approve QA/QC of collected & processed geophysical data. Analyze project goals, research, & provide required geophysical data to plan survey operations, specs, sensor choices. Perform reduction & processing of geophysical data. Prepare technical & final reports & desktop studies. Work remotely from home anywhere in U.S. & up to 1 week every 3 months at Terrasond’s office in Palmer, AK. Requirements: Master’s in Geophysics or related field + 2 yrs. exp. as a Geophysicist performing geophysical subsurface data processing & interpretation for seabed & subsea beds using RadexPro, IHS Kingdom, SonarWiz & GlobalMapper SW.
