Analyze, coordinate and oversee the execution of special project, including out-of-gauge ( OOG ), breakbulk, heavy lift, and oversized cargo, transportation activities. Develop an understanding of customers' needs and take actions to ensure that such are communicated properly with overseas offices, trade desks and head office. Oversee the processing of new bookings, booking maintenance, and tracking and tracing of existing shipments. Develop key performance indicators for special project traffic operations. Direct availability and allocation of equipment and coordinate re-exports and change of destination requests. Manage rate/free-time/chassis disputes. Process rate requests following Federal Maritime Commission ( FMC ) guidelines. Maintain and develop positive business relationships with key personnel involved in, or directly relevant to, the companys clients logistics activities. Manage assigned allocations and forecast impact of market events on special operations. Establish and update traffic procedures. Direct team activities, establishing task priorities, scheduling and tracking work assignments, providing guidance, and ensuring the availability of resources.
3 years of experience in the job offered or as Import or Export Documentation Analyst, Business Development Analyst, or related. Related experience must be in the U.S. container carrying industry and must include:
Forecasting impact of market events on international container carrying operations; Development of key performance indicators; Knowledge of Federal Maritime Commission ( FMC ) guidelines
High school diploma
