Review plans and specifications for scope of work and ensure that the plans and specifications are complete enough to provide a project estimate. Analyze the current market conditions, labor statistics, site logistics, and overhead costs to prepare the cost of the project. Prepare and provide a competitive cost for the project by performing detailed research of alternate products, value engineering options. Receive, review, and organize all Bid Invites, Request for Proposals/Pricing for high end residential projects from owners, developers, general contractors, architects, and engineers through Building Connected, Construct Connect, Procore, etc. Analyze and evaluate different stages of plans (conceptual, preliminary, construction drawings, etc.). Solicit pricing and compile information from suppliers in order to formulate detailed quotes. Maintain and track historic cost log for all project costs. Coordinate with Project management team to know about current project costs. Attend weekly estimation meetings with CEO/President to address all project estimation bids, schedules, and deadlines to submit the bids within the time. Supervises one junior cost estimator.
Requires a bachelors degree in civil engineering or a closely related + 5 years of experience as cost estimator, project engineer or civil engineer or relevant in Stone and marble Industry or masters degree in civil engineering or closely related + 3 years of experience as cost estimator, project engineer or civil engineer or relevant in Stone and marble Industry.
