Build next generation of products. Work with a team of skilled developers building services that support medical devices, mobile applications, partner integrations, and data analytics. Partner with teams, both local and abroad, to build world class medical device software. Design, develop, test, and document Cloud software for new and existing Insulet products. Work closely with business stakeholders, lead engineers, Cloud Ops, and Cloud Security to design high-quality, performant, scalable, secure Cloud solutions. Evaluate new technologies and explore solution alternatives and develop prototypes. Work closely with other software, software QA, and hardware engineers to integrate, debug, and test systems. Ensure that design is within compliance with Company policies, and that software activities are appropriate for the design and maintenance of medical products. Work with Quality, Regulatory, Marketing, and Manufacturing to ensure that designs meet technical, regulatory, and manufacturing requirements. Participate in product design reviews.
The position is fixed based in San Diego, CA; however, telecommuting from a home office location is allowed.
40 hours/week, 9:00am-5:00pm
One (1) year of relevant work experience on projects in the software industry, including computer science, IT, operations, or engineering.

Must have one (1) year of experience in the following (experience may be gained concurrently):
- Experience developing production-quality software
- Experience programming in Java
- Experience coding in Java, SDLC, and Systems Design Thinking
- Experience with AWS
- Experience with the following: CI/CD (Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment), HTTP/S, TCP/IP, Rest API, and Open API
- Experience with Agile Workflows, Scrum, Unit Testing, Integration Testing, and Scripting
- Experience with NoSQL Database, Messaging and Queuing Systems, Event Driven Architecture, Distributed Systems
- Experience with Client-Server Architecture
- Experience with Microservice Pattern, Software Design Patterns, Domain Driven Design, and Serverless Systems
Requires a Bachelors degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a directly related field
