Position: Travel Specialist

Job Description:
As a Travel Specialist at Lilac Leisure Travels, you will be responsible for creating exceptional travel experiences for our clients. You will work closely with them to understand their preferences, interests, and budget, and then design tailored itineraries that exceed their expectations. From booking flights and accommodations to arranging guided tours and recommending local activities, your role is to ensure that every aspect of the journey is seamlessly organized and perfectly suited to our clients' needs.

Responsibilities:

Consult with clients to determine their travel preferences, interests, and budget.
Research destinations, accommodations, and activities to create personalized travel itineraries.
Provide expert advice and recommendations on travel destinations, attractions, and local culture.
Book flights, accommodations, transportation, and activities for clients, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
Communicate with clients throughout the booking process, addressing any questions or concerns they may have.
Coordinate with vendors, hotels, and tour operators to confirm reservations and arrange special requests.
Stay updated on travel trends, industry developments, and destination information to enhance service quality.
Handle any issues or emergencies that may arise during travel, providing timely assistance and solutions.
Maintain detailed records of client preferences, bookings, and communications in our database.
Continuously strive to deliver exceptional customer service and exceed client expectations.
This position is commission based

Qualifications:

Must attend a mandatory 1 hr training session
Previous experience in the travel industry, preferably as a travel agent, tour operator, or travel consultant.
Strong knowledge of travel destinations, attractions, and local cultures.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients.
Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
Proficiency in travel booking systems and software.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Passion for travel and a genuine desire to create memorable experiences for clients.
Flexibility to work occasional evenings and weekends to accommodate client needs.
Bachelor's degree in hospitality, tourism, or a related field (preferred).
Relevant certifications or training in travel and tourism (an advantage)
