Mercer Mexico is seeking candidates for the following position ACTUARIAL CORE ANALYST (RECENT GRADUATE) to join our multi-disciplinary LAC HEALTH CONSULTING HUB in Mexico City offices.

We will count on you to:
Support lead and associate consultants, in collaboration with an in-house team ofactuaries, in helping our clients design, optimize and run their employer benefits programs.
Core & Specialty Capabilities:
Accurately and effectively execute on instructions from lead and associate consultants Use Mercer tools and resources to complete tasks Begin to build and maintain relationships with internal teams and subject matter experts Show aptitude for developing relationships with clients Manage and maintain client documentation and data files Obtain and review plan documentation (SBC, SOC, EOC, booklets) and contracts(service and fee schedules) for accuracy Draft key documents (Placement Strategy Letters, Renewal Requests, Confirmation ofCoverage, Final Decision Letters, Transparency and Disclosure Statements etc.) Draft presentations (Stewardship & Value report, Strategy deck incl. Plan Designs,Marketing/Renewal decks, OE presentation) including final formatting of presentations tobe on-brand and polished Interact with carriers to request renewals, data and forms (e.g., Schedule As) Perform benchmarking of ASO fees Calculate impact of plan design changes by running proprietary tool (MedPrice) Coordinate with actuaries to ensure they have data required for their underwriting andthat their inputs are accurately captured in client materials Support Marketing process by comparing proposals and impacts of proposals acrosscarriers (incl. performing disruption and geo-access analyses) Perform some data cleaning related to census and enrollment files Aid in developing Open Enrollments benefit guides Support with client Compliance requirements Schedule meetings on behalf of lead and associate consultants Capture and summarize meetings notes Update and rework output per instructions from associate and/or lead consultants
What you need to have:
A bachelors degree with graduation Winter 2023/Spring 2024 and concentration(s) in actuarial science and math
A high level of communication skills, essential for establishing good working relationships Strong analytical, numerical and critical thinking skills strong analytical, numerical and critical thinking skills A willingness to learn new skills and be adaptable in a changing environment Excellent planning and organizational abilities, in order to prioritize and complete work Perform data analysis using Excel. Draw conclusions from the data for the review of Project Managers and Senior Consultants. Review and/or develop deliverables based on collected and calculated data. Familiarity with Microsoft Office
English language fluency (will support clients in USA)
