Workplace Health and Safety Consultant

As part of our team, you will have the chance to work with our core client LGIS, providing a range of services to our client base. This may include educating and raising awareness about WHS topics, conducting safety assessments, and offering advice on specific issues related to physical and psychosocial risks.

This position will be based in West Leederville and will involve dedicated support to LGIS members in mitigating WHS risks.

We will count on you to:

Collaborate effectively with the existing team to deliver agreed-upon services to all local governments in WA.
Bring a fresh perspective, enthusiasm, and new ideas to the team.
Conduct on-site assessments and prepare reports under appropriate supervision.
Work closely with the existing team to identify key risk areas and contribute to the development of tailored solutions.
Engage and collaborate with internal stakeholders to align our risk mitigation efforts with indemnity protection.
Manage your own workload, which may involve frequent travel.
Work autonomously while actively contributing to both the local and national team of risk specialists, fostering idea sharing and mutual learning.


What you need to have:

Strong communication skills, both verbal and written,
Keen observation skills
Strong problem-solving skills
Excellent Organisational & communication skills
A strong work ethic and ability to communicate and collaborate with others.
Qualifications in Workplace Safety - Highly regarded.
Analytic mindset, and ability to work with data.
Experience with document writing & presentation skills Highly regarded.
An ability and eagerness to work autonomously and manage projects.
A positive work attitude that fosters effective internal and external stakeholdersA current driving license travel within WA is an essential part of this role.
