Our client is a prestigious private club in Southwest Nassau County, NY. This historic club, with extensive dining facilities and a strong family-oriented atmosphere, is looking for a self-directed individual proficient in accounting software and experienced in overseeing all accounting operations.

Responsibilities:

• Execute day-to-day accounting operations including cash controls, bank reconciliation, and accounts receivable and payable recording.


• Oversee all accounting functions, such as revenue and expense tracking, member collections, cash management, and inventories for member services.


• Reconcile monthly ledgers, prepare budgets, monitor spending, and manage member billing and collections.


• Maintain club banking, investments, and brokerage.


• Perform daily revenue audits, verify monthly and annual inventories, and prepare tax forms and payments as necessary.


• Interact effectively with members and suppliers regarding financial matters.


• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• Bachelors degree in accounting or equivalen.


• Minimum of 3 years of accounting experience.


• Hospitality accounting experience, preferably in a private club setting.


• Knowledge and experience with Jonas software preferred.


• Highly skilled in financial data analysis and Excel Spreadsheets.


• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.


• Strong communication and customer service skills.


• Ability to handle multiple priorities and maintain confidentiality.
