Completion of high school with some Trade Course or apprenticeship in the related field

Experience
4 years of work experience or a combination of apprenticeship and work experience.

Specific Skills
• Measure and mark sheet metal according to template
• Operate metalworking machines to cut, punch, drill, shape or straighten sheet metal
• Grind and buff seams, joints and rough surfaces
• Inspect individual parts, assemblies, and installations for conformance to specifications and building codes
• Maintain equipment, making repairs or modifications when necessary
• Cut materials using power tools or by hand
• Assemble, erect and install hoisting and rigging equipment
• Fit and join sheet metal parts
• Install sheet metal products according to specifications and building codes
• Maintain a clean and tidy work area
