Costco Wholesale Corporation is seeking a Software Engineer for its Issaquah, Washington office.

Job Duties: Develop or prototype software modules, including service interfaces, process flows, service messages, SOA components, business logic, UI/UX, and data access logic. Identify, assess, and formulate software architectural impacts and solutions from business requirements. Build new software features, ensuring application designs utilize appropriate patterns and standards. Analyze user needs and software requirements to determine feasibility of design within time and cost constraints. Assess functional and nonfunctional requirements, and create designs to meet both business and technical needs. Create conceptual and detailed technical design documents. Contribute to rollback, post install, data migration, and other artifacts utilizing implementation experience, including creation of support plans. Identify and resolve software problems, develop and evaluate options, and implement solutions. Conceptualize, build, test, and release software products, delivering across the entire application life cycle, including concept, design, build, deploy, test, release to Play Store, and support. Optimize performance for mobile applications. Telecommuting permitted.

Minimum requirements: Bachelor’s or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field. One year of experience in: Java; Object-Oriented Design; Mobile app development; and Kotlin.

In lieu of Bachelor’s or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, plus one year of experience in Java; Object-Oriented Design; Mobile app development; and Kotlin, employer accepts three years of experience in: Java; Object-Oriented Design; Mobile app development; and Kotlin.
