Solstice Consulting Group is seeking a Civil Engineering Project Lead (Renewables) for our engineering client in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Relocation assistance may be available if not local.

The role is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, implementation, execution, quality assurance/quality control, and completion of civil engineering design on renewable projects.

• Base salary DOE plus bonus and benefits


• HYBRID Role - 3 days per week in office / 2 days WFH


• Degree in Civil Engineering and 7+ years A&E industry experience


• EIT required; PE preferred


• Renewable industry project experience strongly preferred

Role Responsibilities:

• Lead and perform all aspects of civil design and technical solutions for renewable projects.


• Provide leadership, management, and mentorship for the design team.


• Define project tasks, schedule, and resource requirements.


• Conduct team meetings and coordinate with other professional disciplines to execute successful project delivery.


• Prepare and provide support with project proposals.


• Prepare budget on assigned projects and review invoicing under the direction of a Project Manager.


• Identify additional scope and revenue opportunities that relate to the project and participates in business development activities.


• Provide on-going communication with the client related to the project.


• Establish goals for project deliverables and maintain QA/QC goals.

Requirements:

• Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering and 7+ years of related experience within the A&E industry.


• EIT certification required, PE preferred.


• Experience in renewable energy or display passion to learn about the renewable energy industry strongly preferred


• Experience managing Land Development or Public Infrastructure projects strongly preferred


• Ability to communicate effectively and tactfully with department personnel and office staff; must possess strong oral and written communication skills.


• Proficient with AutoCAD and Civil 3D.


• Extensive experience in county and state permitting preferred.


• Possess the ability to change focus quickly during a typical day.


• Positive and solution orientated approach to problems.
