SUMMARY: Management Business Solutions is seeking an Athletic Trainer for its client in Geneva, NY(link removed) The person will be responsible for managing and preventing athletic injuries under the guidance of a physician, and offering education to coaches and athletes while working in schools and clinics.



RESPONSIBILITIES:



  • Offers coverage for home contests according to a predetermined schedule established by the hiring organization, athletic trainer, and athletic director, which includes both varsity and specific non-varsity events.

  • Provides practice coverage as decided by the athletic trainer and athletic director for both varsity and non-varsity sports teams.

  • Administers preventive measures for sports injuries utilizing protective taping, wrapping, and practice planning, alongside organizing workshops on injury prevention, CPR, and rehabilitation.

  • Supports patient care flow by managing equipment, changing linens, and assisting with bracing and splinting under the supervision of physical therapists or physicians.

  • Promotes the athletic training program in the school district and medical community through diverse methods such as flyers, brochures, and media engagement.

  • Exhibits leadership, discretion with sensitive information, professionalism in public interactions, adaptability in duties and schedules, effective independent work, and proficient communication and computer abilities.



QUALIFICATIONS:



  • Bachelors degree in Sports Medicine or a related field. Masters degree in athletic training is preferred.

  • 1+ years of experience as an Athletic Trainer in either a high school or physician practice setting.

  • Must be at least 21 years of age following New York State Regulations.

  • Proficiency in computer skills including word processing, spreadsheets, and PowerPoint is required.

  • Proven ability to handle confidential information with discretion and to engage with the public professionally and courteously.

  • Must demonstrate adaptability in work settings, schedules, and responsibilities, as well as the ability to work independently and effectively.

  • Excellent communication skills.
