SMV Recruiting is looking for a Project Manager to work for a local manufacturer in Syracuse, NY. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelors degree in Engineering, 5+ years of management experience coupled with a background in Soildworks and ideally new product development experience. The ideal candidate will also have experience in training employees on SolidWorks and being an advocate for change including culture and processes, procedures and policies. Responsibilities:
- Create new products by utlizing advanced design tools in SolidWorks and creating parametric designs
- Manage the entire new product design process to new product development process
- Automate design processes and drawings by examining original automation and sample drawings
- Develop new processes, policies and procedures by reviewing current processes including automation
- Train, mentor and motivate engineering team on SolidWorks
- Help change company culture as it relates to new technology
- Impliment new technology such as AI and other innovation methods
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or related field is strongly desired
- 10+ years of overall experience in PM or design work required
- 5+ years of experience in SolidWorks coupled with peremetric design is required
- 5+ years of experience in leadership
- New product development experience strongly desired
