Responsibilities:

Define Data Architecture: Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business processes, data requirements, and objectives, and define data architecture strategies, frameworks, and principles that align with business goals and objectives.
Develop Data Models: Design conceptual, logical, and physical data models to represent the structure, relationships, and attributes of data entities, and ensure alignment with business requirements and industry standards.
Establish Data Governance: Define data governance policies, procedures, and standards to ensure the quality, integrity, and security of data assets, and establish processes for data stewardship, data quality management, and data lifecycle management.
Implement Data Management Practices: Develop and implement data management practices and procedures for data integration, data storage, data access, and data security, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
Optimize Data Processes: Analyze existing data processes and workflows to identify opportunities for optimization and improvement, and develop strategies and solutions to streamline data processes, enhance efficiency, and reduce redundancies.
Collaborate with Stakeholders: Work closely with business stakeholders, IT teams, data engineers, and data analysts to gather requirements, assess data needs, and design data architecture solutions that meet business objectives and support data-driven decision-making.
Evaluate and Select Tools: Evaluate, select, and implement data architecture tools and technologies to support data modeling, data integration, data governance, and data management activities, and ensure alignment with organizational requirements and objectives.
Provide Technical Leadership: Provide technical leadership and guidance to cross-functional teams, including architects, developers, and analysts, on data architecture best practices, standards, and methodologies, and promote knowledge sharing and collaboration.
Stay Updated with Industry Trends: Stay informed about emerging trends, technologies, and best practices in data architecture, data management, and data governance, and assess their potential impact on the organization's data strategy and roadmap.
Document and Communicate: Document data architecture designs, standards, and guidelines, and communicate them to stakeholders, project teams, and technical staff, and provide training and support as needed.

Must Have:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field. (Master's degree or Ph.D. preferred)
Proven experience as a Process/Data Architect, Data Modeler, or similar role, with expertise in designing and implementing data architecture solutions in complex business environments.
Deep understanding of data architecture concepts, methodologies, and best practices, including data modelling, data integration, data governance, and data management.
Strong proficiency in data modelling tools and techniques, such as ER modelling, dimensional modelling, and schema design, and experience with data modelling tools (e.g., ERwin, ER/Studio, Power Designer).
Knowledge of data governance frameworks, standards, and practices, and experience with data quality management, metadata management, and data lifecycle management.
Familiarity with database management systems (e.g., SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL), data warehouses, data lakes, and cloud-based data platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform).
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyse complex data requirements, identify data-related issues, and develop innovative solutions.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
Project management skills, with experience leading data architecture projects from inception to completion, and managing resources, timelines, and budgets.
Certifications in data architecture, data management, or related fields (e.g., Certified Data Management Professional, Certified Information Architect) are preferred.
