Job Overview:


The Assistant Project Manager for the Design Build Department plays a pivotal role in coordinating and managing information flow to support Project Managers and Superintendents, Engineering, Manufacturing, and Field Function teams in the successful execution of construction projects. This individual will provide leadership to Project Engineers within the Design Build department, contributing significantly to the safe, on-time, and on-budget delivery of projects with an unwavering commitment to exceptional quality.


Key Responsibilities:



  • Facilitate project documentation management, including Plans, Specifications, RFIs, Submittals, and Meeting Minutes received from design and trade partners, ensuring alignment and consistency.

  • Collaborate with Project Manager and Superintendent to assemble trade contracts for review.

  • Assist in the development and implementation of site safety plans, including conducting weekly safety meetings, pre-task planning, and accident investigation support.

  • Partner closely with Project Managers and Superintendents to oversee and maintain field operations, including scheduling, testing, inspections, maintaining look-ahead schedules, daily reporting, and quality management.

  • Lead the cost management process, from identifying changes through estimating and executing change orders.

  • Obtain and maintain relevant safety and project management certifications, such as OSHA 30, LEED, and SWPPP.

  • Perform other duties as assigned by the management team.


Qualifications:



  • Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related engineering field is required.

  • A minimum of 3-5 years of construction-related experience or equivalent is required.

  • General knowledge of construction principles and practices is essential.

  • Field experience is preferred but not mandatory.
