Commercial Vehicle Sales Manager
Great opportunity to join a successful dealership

Our client is a successful auto dealership in San Marcos, CA area (link removed) They are looking for a leader to grow their commercial vehicle business. This is a major focus of the dealership for 2024. Their franchise is a leading brand with light through medium duty trucks, vans, and passenger cars. We are seeking an experienced Commercial Vehicle Sales Manager to lead this department, sales staff and its growth plans.



Their customers include government agencies, small and large businesses. Contractors, construction companies, users of vans, pickups, dump trucks, specialty trucks, and passenger cars are a sampling of their customers.

As our Commercial Vehicle Sales Manager, you will assess the departments staff, all policies, and procedures, evaluate, and look for ways to improve. Growth is part of the job description, but bringing a culture of great customer service, accountability and profitability is essential to success for our Commercial Vehicle Sales Manager.


Manage all accounts, interact with key purchasing contacts by bidding and following-up on all opportunities.


Establish and maintain practices designed to train, develop, and motivate commercial department employees and help them grow & maintain their client base


Build processes & strategies to continually improve customer satisfaction ratings


Manage departmental expenses effectively


Work with the accounting Dept to ensure all funds are received and all fleet rebates / manufacture funds / Government incentives are received and advertising reimbursements.


Maintains contact with federal, state, and/or local government agencies and utilities to secure fleet business, actively utilizing the bidding process.



This ideal candidate will also possess the following skills/experiences/abilities:



  • Proven record in fleet and commercial vehicle sales

  • Expertise with selling and servicing light and medium duty trucks

  • Exceptional leadership

  • Ability to develop and mentor sales staff

  • Proven high performer (we will ask for examples of where you raised the bar)

  • Great references

  • Team player with ability to coordinate efforts with sales staff , service and office

  • Integrity

  • Must be very up to date with the online auto buyer and the social medias

  • Ability to work daily in San Marcos, CA area
