Senior Software Engineer (REQ #R296) position available with SquareTrade, Inc. in Brisbane, California.
Anticipated salary for the position: $215,197- $225,197 per year; full-time

Responsibilities: Develop and maintain web applications using REST architectural pattern, Java, and Spring Boot. Detect areas of code improvements and optimize applications. Develop functional specifications for later translation into technical requirements. Design and develop high-volume, low-latency applications and deliver high availability and performance. Complete the software development process from conception to deployment. Develop UML Diagrams for Object-Oriented Design including use cases, sequence diagrams, and class diagrams. Review automated testing and provide feedback to management during the development process. Provide continuous improvement by investigating and presenting alternatives and technologies for architectural review.

The position requires a Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.

The position also requires five (5) years of progressive and post-baccalaureate experience in job offered or in a computer- related position.

Professional experience must include: Programming in Java and Spring Boot; Software architecture and design; Delivering high-quality software solutions, including following coding best practices, conducting thorough testing, and ensuring code maintainability; and Writing clean, readable, and maintainable code. *May Work Remotely.
