Lead Engineer in Test (REQ #R326) position available with SquareTrade, Inc. in Brisbane, California.
Anticipated salary for the position: $168,418-188,418 per year; full-time

Responsibilities: Derive and improve QA processes and strategies to suit business needs. Implement new techniques and technologies to improve the test automation frameworks and infrastructure. Drive QA process during various phases of the software development. Drive QA process during various phases of the software development. Review and provide feedback on software requirements. Ensure testability of software requirements. Coordinate effectively between software development and test team members. Write effective test automation for extensive, flexible, reusable and efficient test development using Behave and Pytest test frameworks in Python. Lead and drive load-testing effort to ensure system's stability during increased load. Generate and present test reports with statistical data. Manage, monitor and maintain daily automated regression.

The position requires a Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Electronic Engineering, Telecommunications Engineering, or a related field.

The position also requires five (5) years of post-baccalaureate and progressive experience in job offered or in a computer-related occupation.

Professional experience must include: Leading QA efforts in the software lifecycle; Python programming; Debugging and troubleshooting skills and programming knowledge for testing and for fixing issues with test framework and automation; and CI-CD pipeline development and maintenance. *Employee may work remotely.
