4. Education and Resources: Provide evidence-based information and resources to parents on topics such as postpartum recovery, infant feeding, self-care, and emotional well-being.

5. Emotional Well-being: Monitor the emotional well-being of new parents, identifying signs of postpartum mood disorders or other mental health concerns. Offer referrals to appropriate healthcare professionals when necessary.

6. Partner Support: Assist partners in adjusting to their new roles and offer guidance on how they can best support the new mother and baby.

7. Community Resources: Connect families with local support groups, parenting classes, lactation consultants, and other community resources that can further enhance their postpartum experience.

Requirements

Knowledge: Familiarity with evidence-based practices related to postpartum care, infant feeding, and maternal mental health.

Empathy and Compassion: Strong ability to empathize with the challenges and emotions of new parents, providing non-judgmental support and reassurance.

Flexibility: Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, overnights and weekends, to accommodate the needs of new parents.

Professionalism: Maintain professionalism, confidentiality, and ethical standards in all interactions with clients.
