Provide food and water in measured amounts using diet instructions provided
Clean kennels and enclosures as instructed. Based on the shelter type, these may be wire crates,
permanent kennels with or without a divider, Magnum panel temporary kennels, shoreline

kennels, or another type of enclosure that may be indoor, outdoor, or partially covered.

Launder towels and bedding as needed Empty, wash, and sanitize dishes, toys, and enrichment items daily Conduct daily welfare checks
Record and report any medical or behavioral concerns or observations
Complete daily observation forms with accuracy
Prepare and distribute in-kennel enrichment
Restock and organize supplies daily
Assist with shelter maintenance and special projects, as needed
Maintain cleanliness and safety of aisleways, kennel areas, and shared shelter spaces
Monitor inventory and report supply needs as directed
Safely and humanely handle animals as needed to accomplish husbandry tasks
When applicable, safely and humanely handle dogs in and outside of the kennel for potty breaks, exercise, socialization, walks, or as otherwise instructed.
Attend required briefings
Utilize provided Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) correctly and safely when required
Adhere strictly to instructions regarding managing infectious diseases and caring for vulnerable populations
Follow all established protocols and processes, written or verbal, understanding that each
deployment experience may differ from the last
Perform additional duties as assigned

Working Environment:

Working with and around animals, some fractious or diseased
Potential exposure to zoonotic diseases (possible transmission to humans)
Working in extreme hot or cold temperatures for long periods
Wearing PPE for long periods
Walking up to several miles per day over rough, uneven terrain
Standing, bending, twisting, reaching, repetitive kneeling and squatting, lifting, and carrying supplies
