Required: Must have 5+ years of hands-on Agile Coach experience. Must have 8+ years of overall experience. Must have a Bachelors degree. Preferred: Enterprise level experience is nice to have. Change Management knowledge / experience is a bonus, not required. Certifications are a bonus, not required. This is new headcount on the team; they are expanding across several new groups in AbbVie helping coach them on the adoption of Agile and a Waterfall to Agile transition. Deal-breakers: Someone who does not have hands-on experience with Agile coaching; the HM does not want to see someone who only has training or book knowledge of Agile and its methodologies. Agile Coach experience What are the top 3 nice to have skills for this position: Coaching Mindset Adaptable Agile hands on application knowledge Requirements: Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent subject Minimum 8+ years of working experience in Agile methodologies Minimum 5+ years of working experience as an Agile coach in Waterfall Driven delivery environments Deep understanding of Agile values and principles In-depth experience systemizing fit-for-purpose agile ceremonies across teams and coaching leaders on agile values, design thinking, customer value, product management, etc. Working experience on training individuals and teams in (Work management tools like Jira, Agile delivery) Working knowledge and experience with several Agile methodologies: SCRUM, Kanban Experience driving proven impact within large-scale agile transformations Outstanding inter-personal, problem-solving and communications skills (written, verbal, and non-verbal) What You'll Do Your responsibilities will range from nurturing agility across waterfall focused Delivery teams to shape our broader transformation at an organizational level working across products and services. You will influence the organization by focusing teams on customer value and have the opportunity to coach the leaders and teams on an Agile delivery, frequent releases, transparency and adoption of work management tools. Additionally, you'll guide, Coach, and advise leaders to embrace the right mindset and become catalysts to a culture change. You will also develop the organization's proficiency with agile roles & practices through workshop facilitation; 1:1, Lunch and Learns, coaching; mentoring; and advising on the work across teams to optimize the flow of value to end users. Monitoring the team outcomes and dynamics while coaching teams on improving performance and agile maturity is a large part of your role. Creating and continuously improving org-wide artifacts for an agile way of working (e.g. standards, playbooks, best practices) will be important. As a senior coach you will be looked at as a mentor who enables fellow coaches to develop their coaching capabilities and help them grow in their expected roles by exhibiting thought leadership by participating in internal/external forums in agile communities and building Agile community of practice within the organization.
