As an Industrial Engineer you will play a pivotal role in enhancing our operational efficiency and effectiveness. You will be responsible for overseeing the integration, optimization, and maintenance of capital equipment and systems, particularly ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) and MES (Manufacturing Execution Systems). Additionally, you will leverage your expertise in labor performance metrics, costing, and utilization measurement tools to drive improvements in our processes.
What you are doing as an Industrial Engineer:
- Evaluate, select, and implement capital equipment solutions that align with the company's strategic objectives and operational requirements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate ERP and MES systems seamlessly into our manufacturing processes, ensuring maximum efficiency and reliability.
- Develop and implement performance metrics to monitor labor productivity, identify bottlenecks, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Conduct cost analysis studies to assess the financial impact of process changes, equipment investments, and system upgrades.
- Utilize utilization measurement tools to optimize resource allocation, minimize downtime, and maximize throughput.
- Configure and customize ERP and MES systems to meet specific business needs, including workflow design, data analysis, and reporting functionalities.
- Collaborate with vendors and external partners to stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in capital equipment and systems integration.
What you need as an Industrial Engineer:
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
- Proven experience in capital equipment selection, integration, and optimization within a manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency in labor performance metrics, costing methodologies, and utilization measurement tools.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data into actionable insights and recommendations.
- Proven project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and drive results in a fast-paced environment.
- In-depth knowledge of ERP and MES systems, with hands-on experience in implementation and customization.
- Ability to travel 50% of the time to subsidiaries within the Midwest and southeast.
