Return to Work Consultant (Workers Compensation)




What can you expect?


Provide professional outsourced return to work and claims consulting services to Mercer Marsh Benefits clients through the administration of injury management software, insurer and other stakeholder liaison and back-office injury management accountabilities.
The role is a position in Workers Compensation consulting and injury management profession, with an opportunity for significant on the job development and career progression.

Ideally someone with 3 years + experience in claims management functions at an insurer or employer. Experience with claims management and injury management systems.

We will count on you to:

Perform Outsourced Return to Work Coordinator functions, including but not limited to:
Triaging and lodgement of new claims
Development and maintenance of return-to-work plans
Regular stakeholder contact (injured worker, employer, insurer)
Delivering on employer return to work obligations
Claims reviews
Administrative tasks such as payroll functions and wage reimbursements where required
Reporting.
Administering preferred injury management software for selected clients and maintaining this database.
National complex claims consulting.
Insurer liaison with respect to injury management activities
Intermediate Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) skills.
Produce and/or format reports, manuals, presentations and other correspondence or documents.
Generate invoices.
Achieve financial retention and new business KPIs.
Organise and maintain file system, file correspondence and other documentation.
Maintain database and spreadsheet files.
Support Workers Compensation team during busy periods.
Read and route incoming correspondence.
Take, type and distribute meeting minutes.
Other tasks as directed by manager.



We would like you to have:

Tertiary qualifications in Applied Science, OH&S, Injury Management, or other relevant fields.
Return to Work Co-coordinator accreditation desirable but not essential.
Tier 1 compliancy may be required and facilitated by Mercer Marsh Benefits
