Why this job is important
The BI Analysts are responsible for the delivery of the data analysis and reporting that supports Kantar Business Service global processes for Group FP&A. The role will own multiple of these processes and ensure that business users have the necessary reports and tools to fulfil their step of the process. It will also need to develop and manage relationships and effectively collaborate with other Leads across Finance, our third-party vendors and other delivery partners.
What youll be doing
Reporting Excellence : design and maintain interactive reports and dashboards using Power BI. Create highly visual and intuitive data visualizations for use by business stakeholders.
Data Integration and Governance : Oversee the integration of data from diverse sources, ensuring data quality, consistency, and adherence to data governance policies. Collaborate with IT and data engineering teams to optimize data pipelines.
Business Requirements Analysis : Work closely with business leaders to understand their analytical needs and translate these requirements into actionable data solutions. Translate new requirements into the relevant functional specifications for technical teams to design, build and test reports using the most appropriate solution.
Mentorship and Training : Provide guidance and training to other analysts and end-users, fostering self-service analytics adoption.
Data Security and Compliance : Ensure strict data security and compliance with internal policies and industry regulations throughout all data handling and reporting activities.
Support the R&A lead in the stabilisation and growth of KBS R&A CoE, including the on-going transition of additional services into KBS and the development of internal capabilities within the wider organisation.
The skills & experience needed as BI Analyst
Degree level education in Business Administration/Finance, Engineering, Maths, or equivalent.
Experience working within across functional Global Business Services (GBS)environment.
A minimum of 3 years of experience as a Business Intelligence Analyst
Good understanding of Visualisation techniques. Skills in utilising visualisation tools such as Power BI for creating insightful, interactive dashboards and reports
Experience with SQL
Strong Excel skills
Problem-Solving Skills: Capacity to analyse complex data sets, identify patterns, trends, and outliers, and derive meaningful insights to solve business problems.
Knowledge of industry best practices and emerging trends in business intelligence and data analytics.
Proven experience succeeding in complex, matrix and cross functional projects with the ability to inspire and influence across the organisation
Fluent English speaker, accurately able to read and write English and to communicate effectively with senior stakeholders and management
